Jubilation Lee: Alpha Class, Part 2

by Piper

***Authors Note*** I think that either Artie or Leech can't talk ??? I'm not sure, but in my story both can, but they don't talk to the other student's often.***

Jubilee groaned as the light was shined in front of her eyes again. This was really giving her a headache. Hank had put enough chemicals in her that she was beginning to wonder whether she was getting a check-up, or becoming an experiment.

"Well, Miss Lee, it seem's that everything is normal, and that your power boost is completly natural. When you first gained your power's your body was not able to indulge to the complete power stored within you, Sabretooth just created a doorway to release your full abilities", he informed her.

Jubilee sighed. "What are all of her new abilities", Emma cut in annoyed.

"It seem's Miss Frost that Jubilation has gained the ability to manipulate lightning in the same way she uses her pyrokinetics. She can heat the air around her, much like Cannonball, and levitate. She also has extrodanairy E.S.P abilities. In three kinds of Extra Sensory Perception known. Telepathy; Clairvoyance; and psychokinesis. It is quite amazing that she has so many abilities, and such power in all of them", Hank said scratching his chin.

"For the lasses age...", Sean put in. "No---No---No, I mean overall. She has all three E.S.P abilities which usually occur once in one person. She also has the ability of pyrokinetics, and somewhat an ability similuar to Storm's lightning. Those allow her to fly. The mutant gene must have formed early on in her family...I would like to do a pedigree of her family if possible", Hank said while going over the information he had collected.

"A what?, you mean like that dog or cat thing? You think my family has some sort of royal blood or sumpthin?", Jubilee asked confused. Hank laughed, "No, A pedigree is like a family tree of genetics. It show's what genes were past on from one family member to another, and if it is dominant or recessive", he explained.

"Oh", Jubilee said rolling her eyes, "Whatever", she muttered next. Suddenly a picture of a familiar motorcycle flashed in front of her eyes, and a warm feeling washed over, it was followed by great worry. She didn't bother to explain where she was running off to, she just jumped off the infirmary table and rushed up the stairs towards the front entrance.

"Wolvy!", she exclaimed throwing the door open just as he was about to bang on the door. She threw her arms around him. He sniffed her and held her close. "Jubes", he whispered as if reassuring himself she was okay. He loosened up a bit as a pulled away. "I'm fine", she whispered. "Yeah", he said confirming the fact to himself.

"Oh, this is where you ran off to", Emma said in her usual cold voice as Logan entered the building. "Extraordinairy, from the way the machines went up when she took off she must have felt his presence and came rushing, of course! That proves it. It could have been clairvoyance or just simple telepathy", Hank mumbled to himself.

"Scott told me a little over the wrist com 'fore I got here, but I wanna here the whole story now", Logan growled, he pulled Jubilee closer. He could smell Sabretooth's stench all over her, and he didn't care what Scott said 'bout her not bein' harmed, he wanted to hear it from her. Jubilee sighed, and he thought he heard her mutter something like, 'here we go again', under her breath.

"You wanna go somewhere quiet darlin?", Logan asked softly. Jubilee smiled happily, "Yeah", she answered. "Okay...we're goin' to the biosphere, any objections?. Make sure no one bother's us", he growled. Emma yawned as if bored, but nodded. Hank look dissapointed, he wanted to run more tests, but agreed it was best for her.

A Few Moment's Later
The Biosphere

Artie watched from the top of the tree's. What was going on? Jubilee and Wolverine from the X-Men had come into the sphere and sat below on of the biggest tree's. "What do you think's going on Artie?", Leech asked, his voice quiet. "I don't know, maybe they're in love", Leech commented. "Eeewww", Artie said. "Girl's are gross", Leech added. "Let's get closer", Artie whispered back.

This is what they heard...

"I smell Sabretooth all over ya darlin...what happened?", Logan asked, his voice strained. His eyes shone with worry. Jubilee smiled softly, "I was just walking in the back wood's minding my own business...Well, he attacked me...and I gained my new powers", Jubilee lost her initial gut and told him the quick version. She wasn't sure how he'd react if she told him that Sabretooth had tried, and almost succeeded in raping her.

Wolverine watched her carefully. He knew she wasn't telling the whole story, he could smell her uncomfort. "Jubes I know yur not tellin me the whole story, and it s'okay if ya don't wanna tell me everything", he told her comfortingly. Jubilee blushed crimson. "It's not that...I just don't know *how* to tell you", she whispered. Suddenly she was shaking, she hadn't realised how upset she actually was over this.

The downside of being able to hide when your hurting...all the time, you sometimes hide it from yourself. Suddenly she was sobbing and in Logan's arms. He was stroking her hair and holding her tightly. Artie and Leech exchanged look's. The only time they'd seen Jubilee cry was when she slipped into the biosphere late at night for workout's. She broke down several times screaming that it was unfair then showing a huge show of fireworks.

Artie and Leech would have told Emma and Sean, but the fireworks were real pretty. Then there was the fact that when Jubilee saw them watching she told them not to tell, that it was *better* that way. Then she promised them secret firework show's and storytelling every Wednesday night. She alway's kept her promises. That was just part of who she was.

"I'm sorry", Jubilee whimpered against Logan's chest. Part of his soft flannel shirt was drenched from where she'd been crying. She hurried to wipe the tears from under her eyes. She was suprised when Logan moved her hands and wiped the tears from under her eyes hisself. His eyes held guilt. She sighed, it wasn't his fault, but she knew it'd be hard making him see that.

"S'okay Kid, it's good to cry", he told her gently. He'd never seen her like this, so close to a mental breakdown. Suddenly he felt a presence in the back of his mind, If you would mind trying to keep her cries a little more in reality and little less telepathic she told him sharply. What'd'ya 'spect me to do, ask her if she can cry a little softer. I don't think that's gonna help her much he growled to himself. He felt Emma's presence leave him immediatly.

He trusted the woman, otherwise he would not have let Jubilee stay at Generation X when he returned, but she did grate on his nerves. He enjoyed picking at her every chance he got, he knew the kid enjoyed it to. Deep down she loved the woman like a mother, she'd never admit it though. She'd been to experienced in mind to go to Gen X, but her powers did need to be developed. Logan knew that, and so did Jubilee.

An idea struck him, he pulled himself and the kid up. "Come on kid, we're gettin outta this joint", he growled softly. Jubilee looked up, "Emma won't...", she began. " Who say's we're tellin' the White Witch", he grumbled. Jubilee giggled. He looked down as a small smile creased her face, the first genuine one he'd seen.

"Where are we going?", she asked suddenly.

"Canada", he told her.

"Cool, where in Canada?", she remarked.

"A cabin I own", he answered.

"Neato, don't I need to get some clothes?", she replied after a few moments.

"We'll get you some on the way", he said gettin exasperated at all the questions.

"Okay, what happens if the W.Q. tracks us down?", she put in.

"Who?", Wolverine snarled.

"Ya know the White Queen...W.Q...her initials!", Jubilee told him rolling her eyes.

"She won't", he told her.

"Okay", she said snapping a piece of gum she'd popped in her mouth.

"Wolvy?", she asked after a few more second's.

"HOW MANY BLAZIN' QUESTIONS DO YOU HAVE!", He yelped. Jubilee looked at him, half amused---half hurt. "I just wanted to know what would happen if I lost control of my powers. Hank say's that I have like three different E.S.P powers, and I can control lightning. He say's I'll be able to fly to", Jubilee told him quietly.

Logan looked down at her. "Oh, well I guess we'll just have to be real careful. You ain't gonna be the first person who had to learn firsthand how to use their own powers. From the picture I've gotten you seemed to have a lot of control on it", he pointed out.

"Yes I guess so, I guess I'm just being paranoid", Jubilee told him.

"Hey! That's my job!", Logan chuckled. Jubilee smiled brightly up at him as he gunned the engine. She slipped on behind him. Emma came rushing out.

"Busted", Jubilee murmered. Logan sighed, "Hold on tight", he told her briskly. She smiled crazily and wrapped her arms tightly around his stomach.

They soon were speeding off into the sunset. Emma's telepathic voice reached them after a couple corners.

*I was just going to inform you Woverine that Jubilee better wear a helmet while she is on that contraption.*

Wolverine turned and threw a bemused look at Jubilee, she shrugged. He nodded to the extra helmet hook the the back of the bike. She sighed and slipped it on, one of his arms shot back to keep her steady as she hooked the helmet.

He speeded up again as she wrapped her arms around him again. "How long till we get there", she finally whispered in his ear.

"A couple day's kid, we're gonna take the long way t'make sure that Jeannie, the Proffesor, or Bett's don't track us down. Somethin' tells me the X-Men ain't gonna be as sympathetic as your headmistress", he growled back at her.

Jubilee nodded. "Yeah Frosty has her moments", she told him. He chuckled. Jubilee layed her head against his back and let her mind drift...

Back at the Acadamy
The Room of Emma Frost

Emma looked out the window, a small smile creasing across her lips. Her eyes softening in the privacy of her own room. "Good luck in finding yourself Jubilation", she whispered sitting on her window seat. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she was wearing an oversized t-shirt. Out of all of her student's Jubilee had alway's seen the other side of the coin.

It was a gift and curse. Emma knew well because she was the same way. The other children believed that Emplate was just a mutant like them who could be healed, both Emma and Jubilee saw that he was now evil. When Operation Zero took place everyone believed the others were dead. Jubilee knew better, as did Emma.

Suddenly the blackbird was heard landing. Emma pulled herself away from the window and waved a hand over her attire. An illusion of a tight white body suit appeared. Slipping on heels she went out to meet the already ranting Summer's, and the rest of the X-Men.
