Mediaeval Style X-Men: Part Two

by Lynn

Wolverine sat watching the 15-yr-old girl brush her hair. Or try to. Her hair was very long, right down to her bum.

"Let me do that, darlin・," he said, watching her struggle. Jubilee got up and walked to him. She sat in front of him. Wolverine took the brush from her and began to brush her hair.

"Wolvie, is the world really filled with that much anger and hatred for us mutants?" asked Jubilee.

"Yeah, it is. My wife and son were killed by another mutant, just because he knew it would hurt me. And the FOH have killed a lot of mutants," said Wolverine.

"Wolvie, do you think humans will ever except us for what we are?"

"I doubt it, kid. They・re too afraid of us," said Wolverine.

Jubilee sighed, closing her eyes while Wolverine brushed her hair.

"Who was it that killed your wife and son?" she asked. She felt Wolverine tense up.

"Never you mind, darlin・," said Wolverine. Jubilee shrugged.

"OK."

"You oughta get yer hair cut, kid," said Wolverine.

"Really? I・ve been thinking that a lot. It・s way too long," agreed Jubilee.

Wolverine got up and went to the bathroom where he grabbed a towel and came back with it. Wolverine wrapped the towel tightly around Jubilee・s neck, nearly strangling her. "So, you・re gonna cut my hair. Cool."

SNIKT! A single claw emerged from the back of Wolverine・s right hand. He held up Jubilee・s hair with his left hand and with one swipe cut most of it off. Jubilee・s hair was now a few inches above her shoulders. Wolverine grabbed a mirror to show her. Jubilee stared at the mirror.

"That・s me?" she asked. She touched her hair. "Tres cool." Jubilee turned around and hugged Wolverine, "Thanks Wolvie!" Wolverine hugged Jubilee back.

"No problem, kid," he said.

"Aw! Come on Lynn! Please!" said Jubilee.

"No. You are not getting anywhere near my Jaffa Cakes, so bug off!" said Lynn.

"Can・t I get just a little sugar high?" asked Jubilee.

"*NO*!" said Lynn and Wolverine.

"Aw man! No fair. Nobody loves me・" Wolverine sighed and Lynn grinned, then turned back to her computer.

"What next? Ah-ha!"

Jubilee opened her eyes and yawned. She sat up. Jubilee looked over to the other bed. It was empty. She frowned.

"Where・s Wolvie?" she asked. She got up and looked around. Wolverine wasn・t anywhere. Jubilee shrugged and went for a shower. After her shower she grabbed a towel, wrapped it around her and walked back into the bedroom. She stopped short when she saw Wolverine lying on his bed.

"Yer awful thin, kid," said Wolverine, closing his eyes. "Y・ ain・t been eatin・ enough." Jubilee, blushing red as a beet, quickly pulled on her clothes.

"OK, I・m decent. And what do you mean I・m skinny?" demanded Jubilee. Wolverine opened his eyes.

"Well, you are," he said. Jubilee glared at him, and he grinned at her. Jubilee shook her head.

"I・m hungry. Where were you?"

"Went to the shop." Wolverine got up and slung an arm around Jubilee・s shoulders. "Let・s get som'thing to eat ・fore yer stomach decides to complain."

Jubilee sat at the table devouring the food while Wolverine watched.

"Whoa! Quit shovelling it in, darlin・. It ain・t lady-like!" said Wolverine.

"Don・t care! I ain・t no lady!" mumbled Jubilee through a mouthful of scrambled egg on toast. One of the waitresses came up to them.

"Would your wife like some chocolate, sir?" she asked.

"Did she say wife?" asked Jubilee.

"Yes, darlin・," said Wolverine. "Yeah. Get her some," he told the waitress. She scurried off.

"You・re gonna pretend I・m your *wife*!" said Jubilee. Wolverine nodded.

"OK."

"It・s the perfect cover up," said Wolverine.

"Whatever," muttered Jubilee. The waitress came back with a bar of chocolate. She gave it to Jubilee. Jubilee・s eyes sparkled. "I better warn you, I・m unstoppable when I・ve eaten a lot of chocolate things." Wolverine shrugged and Jubilee began to eat the chocolate.

"Chere?" asked a voice. Jubilee looked up and saw Gambit and Rogue.

"Gambit! Rogue!" Jubilee hugged them.

"Who・re they, darlin・?" asked Wolverine.

"Wolvie, this is my cousin Gambit and his wife, Rogue," said Jubilee.

"Gambit, Rogue, meet Wolverine."

"Hello," said the 2 people. Wolverine put an arm around Jubilee・s shoulders and slightly smiled.

"Aren・t you a bit old fer mah cousin?" asked Rogue.

"Leave him alone, Rogue. He・s been a right gentleman."

"Y・ sure, chere?" asked Gambit.

"Yep. I・m totally sure, Remy," said Jubilee.

"Well, t・at・s OK then. Y・ hurt my cousin and Gambit・ll kill you, Gambit promise y・ t・at," said Gambit. Wolverine nodded.

"I won・t hurt her, Gumbo. She・s too precious," he said. Gambit and Rogue sat down beside them.

"So, how・d ya meet?" asked Rogue.

"I rescued him from the Reavers," said Jubilee quietly.

"The Reavers had ・im? What do t・ey want wit・ ・im?" asked Gambit.

"I・m a mutant, like Jubes and you 2," said Wolverine.

"How・d ya know we was mutants?" asked Rogue.

"Smelled ya," said Wolverine.

"Oh," said Gambit.

Lynn stretched and yawns.

"Damn, I・m tired. Been up since ・fore 6am," she said.

"Shoulda stayed in bed a bit longer then," said Wolverine.

"Shut up."

"I like this story," said Jubilee.

"I・ve died and gone to Hell," moaned Cyclops.

"*SHUT UP*!" Lynn yelled. She returned to her writing.

Jubilee, Wolverine, Gambit and Rogue were walking in the forest when they came across a tall tower. Wolverine saw a woman in it, but there was no door. He heard her being called ・Ororo・ by somebody with a cackling voice. They saw an old woman climb down the tower. She disappeared into the forest.

"I know what to do!" said Jubilee. "I read it in a book." Jubilee walked to the tower.

"Ororo! Ororo! Let down your hair!" she called. I woman with white hair looked out of the window. She shrugged and let down her hair. Jubilee climbed up it.

"Hi!" she said. "I・m Jubilee, want to join my gang?" Storm nodded and she flew them out of the tower.

"I would love to come with you, child," she said.

"Storm, this is Wolverine, and my cousin Gambit and his wife, Rogue."

"Nice to meet you, chere," said Gambit, kissing Storm・s hand.

"Remy!" said Rogue.

"Sorry, love," said Gambit. Wolverine nodded to her.

"We better find an Inn soon・ It・s nearly dark," said Wolverine.

They found an Inn a mile down the path in the forest and went to bed. Rogue and Gambit in one, Storm in another, and Wolverine and Jubilee in the third.

Jubilee was laying on her stomach on the floor, nose buried in a book. It was called ・If I Pay Thee Not In Gold・, by Anthony Piers. It had demons in it, and women who ruled and the guys were slaves. She liked it.

"What・cha readin・, darlin・?" asked Wolverine.

"A story," said Jubilee.

"What・s it called?"

"If I Pay Thee Not In Gold. It・s about this demon guy who・s in love with a girl who・s part of a country where the men are slaves and have to do everything the women say. Only the girl doesn・t love him until near the end. And there・s a big problem. Whenever the demon has sex with the girl he turns into a woman so he has to have sex with a guy to become a guy again. It・s very complicated."

"It sounds it," said Wolverine. "Now get to bed!"

"But!"

"NOW!" Jubilee glared at Wolverine and got up. She yawned and went to bed. Wolverine did the same thing.

"Wolvie, mind not snoring this time?" asked Jubilee.

"I don・t snore," said Wolverine.

"Wanna bet on it?" asked Jubilee.

"Get to sleep!" said Wolverine. Jubilee grumped for a minute then went to sleep. Wolverine shook his head. "I do not snore," he muttered before falling asleep.
