Mediaeval Style X-Men: Part 6

by Lynn

The X-Men and most of the other characters don・t belong to me... Yada, yada, yada. ::YAWN:: Disclaimers are so boring.

Buffy shook her head.

"You lot・ll have to stay with me and my gang," she said.

"That・s very kind of you," said Storm. Buffy shrugged.

"Come on then, and you can come too, Nightcrawler."

"Thank you," said the demon-that・s-not-a-demon.

They walked into the apartment. Several people sat in the living room.

"Hi, guys," said Buffy.

"Who are your guests?" asked the grown-up.

"Giles, they・re... umm..."

"Wolverine, Storm, Bishop, Death, Gambit, Rogue, Bobby and Nightcrawler," said Wolverine.

"Nice to meet you," said Giles.

"Are you a lycanthrope?" asked the brown-haired boy with a guitar, watching Wolverine.

"Sort of," said Wolverine.

"Oh. What animal?"

"Wolf."

"Oz, stop pestering him!" said the red-haired girl beside the boy.

"Yes, Willow," said Oz.

"Why are you here?" asked the black-haired girl. "And what・s with the clothes? You look so dorky."

"Cordelia, shut up," said the brown-haired boy beside her. "You used the word ・dorky・," he added with a smug smile.

"Oh dear! So I did! My reputation is ruined!" Cordelia walked out of the room followed by the Irish guy.

"She scares me sometimes," said Giles.

"Sometimes? She・s totally weird," said Buffy.

"You・re weird," said a girl who sat next to the brown-haired boy.

"Anya, I・m allowed to be weird. I・m the Slayer. It・s major weirdness," said Buffy.

"I don・t think you・re weird," said the black-haired man.

"No kidding, dead boy," said Xander. Angel glared at him.

Our heroes looked at each other. Then they whimpered.

"I am not amused," said Angel, glaring at her.

"It・s my story, Angelus, so shut yer trap before I take you to the hospital for a rabies injection." Angel stopped talking and just glared at her, as did Buffy. Jubilee and Wolverine were siting beside the Slayer and vampire, rolling their eyes. Lynn stretched out an arm. An audible ・crack・ came from her arm and the 4 people winced. Lynn made a rude gesture at the 3 grown-ups. The 15-yr-old mutant, Jubilee, grinned at their expressions and muttered something under her breath about how Lynn really wanted to die.

Buffy was leading the gang to Sunnydale Palace when Sinister, Sabretooth and Apocalypse came taring down the street. They saw Buffy, Wolverine and the others and hid behind them.

"Please! Save us from those sugar-driven maniacs!" they wailed. They gang wondered what they were talking about when, out of the blue, Jubilee appeared sitting on a broomstick with Death of Rats, Susan beside her on Binky. "Aaahhh!" screamed the 3 villains.

"Wolvie?" said Jubilee when she saw Wolverine. A grin split her face and Susan picked up the pieces and quickly glued them back together. Jubilee then threw herself at Wolverine.

"Wolvie!" she yelled. Wolverine hugged her.

"You OK, kid?" he asked.

"Yeah! Sinister and his kids were really nice to me," said Jubilee.

"Yeah, sure. What happened to them?" he asked, gesturing to the whimpering villains.

"I got bored with waiting for you to come save me, so I invented a game called ・Make the villains lives miserable・," said Jubilee. The 3 villains whimpered.

"Oh, do stop that," said Susan. The villains began to bawl. Jubilee rolled her eyes at Susan, who caught them and rolled them back.

"Things are getting really weird," said Storm, watching as Jubilee・s eyes were rolled back to her.

"No kidding," said Bishop.

SUSAN, said Death.

"Grandfather?" asked Susan. "Well, it・s about time you got back!"

SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG, SUSAN, DEAR, said death, not meaning it at all.

SQUEAK! SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK, SQUEAK! said Death of Rats.

SHE DID WHAT? POOR DEATH OF RATS, said Death.

"Grandfather, can we go now? This world is weird," said Susan.

YES, SUSAN, said Death. He rummaged around in his robe, looking for something. His skull turned a faint red. I SEEM TO HAVE LOST MY MARBLES, he said calmly.

"You lost your marbles?" said Jubilee, who began laughing.

LOST MY MARBLES! LOST MY MARBLES! Said Death, running around. Susan suddenly produced a bag.

"Are these them?" she asked.

AH! GOOD, YOU FOUND MY MARBLES, said Death. He began rummaging in the small bag, his arm going in until it was nearly all inside of the bag. He suddenly pulled out a marble. In it was a turtle, and on the turtle's back were 4 elephants carrying a disc-shaped world. HERE IS THE DISCWORLD MARBLE, said Death.

"Great! We can go home now!" said Susan. She, Death and Death of Rats disappeared.

"Can we go now?" asked Jubilee.

"Yes!" said Sinister. "Please, do go! And don・t come back!"

"I want to fight for her," said Wolverine. "If I win, I get her, if you win, you get her." He enjoyed the look of absolute terror that was on the 3 villains・ faces when they heard the last part.

"No! No fights! Keep her! We don・t want her!" said Sabretooth."

"You saying my Jubilee ain・t good enough, bub?" snarled Wolverine.

"Oh, no! She・s a marvellous, wonderful, imaginative, delightful young woman, we just think that she・d be much happier with you," said Sinister.

"Yes! Please, do take her away. We will miss her, but we feel she should be with her mother and father," said Apocalypse.

"Well, if you say so," said Wolverine.

"Aw, no fight," said Jubilee. She brightened up. Literally. She was glowing like a lightbulb.

"Oh dear," said Buffy. Jubilee began to float. Buffy grabbed her ankle.

"What・s wrong with Jubilee?" asked Wolverine.

"I feel light-headed," said Jubilee.

Gambit began to chuckle. Wolverine glared at him.

"This place is too weird," he said.

・#

Lynn grinned.

"One part to go, I think," she said.

"Good," said Jubilee sourly. She wasn・t pleased with the light-headed remark.

"Ares, give me strength, let not that annoying, sugar-driven, maniacal mutant teenager make me lose my marbles," said Lynn quietly.

"Grumble, grumble grumble," said Jubilee.

"That・s it," said Lynn. She turned to face Jubilee. "I just lost them." She lunged at Jubilee.

"Oh no you don・t." Wolverine grabbed her.

"Lemme at ・er! Lemme at ・er!" yelled Lynn.

"No way," said Wolverine. Lynn glared at him.

"You fancy Jubilee!" she said. Wolverine growled and let her go. Lynn ran out of the room after Jubilee, laughing maniacally. Wolverine ran after her.

"Don・t you dare hurt my Jubilee!" he shouted.

Angel and Buffy looked at each other, then whimpered.
