Wolverine, Jubilee, and Sabretooth belong to Marvel. Seraphim is mine and so is this story. Trust me I make no money from this. Sending part four right after this, five will be out when I write it. E-mail me!!! [email protected]

Seraphim drifted into Jubilee's room and she was surrounded by a warm feeling instantly. She stared at the small girl who was curled in bed asleep. How could anyone radiate such love and innocence? She pulled herself together slightly, not daring to take full form of her body least Wolverine catch her scent. Seraphim sat on the side of her bed and ran a hand through her hair. Jubilee stired a bit but didn't wake up. Seraphim put her face against hers and let herself go.

Jubilee shifted in her bed not willing to get up. "Jubilee!" Came a shout from downstairs. Jubilee threw the covers over her head and grumbled. "Jubilee!" The shout came again and she did her best to ignore it. "Jubilee!" This time it was louder. She sighed angrily and sat up throwing the covers off of her.

"I'm up Mom!" Jubilee yelled back. The door swung open and her mother walked in.

"You have violin lessons this morning before classes." She told Jubilee. Now come on and get ready." Her mother told her sternly. "You are not going to miss another lesson young lady." Her mother told her as she jostled her out of bed. Jubilee began to argue. "No buts. Learning to play the violin is important. Granted you may not appreciate it now but you will later. Trust me. Now come on your late as it is." Then walked out.

Jubilee rolled her eyes but she hurried all the same. Her mother stepped through the door and smoothed out Jubilee's short hair. Jubilee squirmed annoyed and her mother laughed as she took her hand. Jubilee struggled to keep up with her mother as they hurried out of the house.

Logan's eyes snapped open and he ran a hand over his face. The fireplace only lit a few feet in front of it and it sent the rest of the room into darkness. The sound of wood popping as it burned punctuated the room now and again. Logan looked into the fire and closed his eyes after a moment. He had that dream again. He eased himself out of the chair and walked to the stairs. He made his way to Jubilee's room to check on her, as he did every night since they had gotten here.

He knocked on the door not expecting her to answer. He waited a moment then walked in. The room was dark and he saw nothing out of place. He breathed deep taking in her scent. The smell wasn't strong, it was more of a linguring scent, as if she wasn't here. Logan stalked over to the bed and saw the covers were pulled up over her head. He threw them back and found an empty bed.

"Jubilee." He called as he looked around the room. Failing to find her he walked out into the hallway. "Come on darlin' this isn't funny. Come out!" He shouted begining to get worried. "Jubilee!" He moved through the cabin calling for her. He didn't understand it, her scent didn't lead anywhere it was like she just disapeared. He also didn't smell anyone else. He walked outside and stood on the porch. "Jubilee!" He yelled into the darkness. He waited for her to answer. Nothing. He breathed deep and he still didn't smell her. He started at who he did smell, it was a distance away but the smell was sharp and unmistakable. "Sabretooth." He said almost inaudible. With that he lept off the porch and bounded into the woods. He knew it was too much to hope for this to be another nightmare.

Seraphim led Jubilee down to a feld of tall grass. The grass went up to her waist so it was more like wading than walking. She looked up at the sky, up at the stars and the full moon. Jubilee's hand felt odd to her, soft and warm. Seraphim wasn't used to the sensation. Seraphim let go of Jubilee's hand and saw the young girl began to piece things together.

Jubilee was looking around the field in confusion. How had she gotten here? She vaguely remembered a dream about her mother. Had she slept walked? She had never done that before. Finally her eyes fell upon Seraphim. The odd woman looked like she wanted to flee into the night.

"Who are you?" Jubilee demanded.

For a moment niether thought she would answer. "Seraphim." The word sounded like an appology.

"Well that tels me a lot. How did I get here?" She demanded.

"I brought you here." Seraphim told her not able to look at her.

"Why?" Jubilee snapped.

"Because Sabretooth bade me to so." Jubilee paled and took a step back. She started looking around for him. Seraphim wanted to comfort the girl. She extended her wings and flapped them violently. She found herself looking around for Sabretooth also. Where was he? Why did he want her to bring the girl here? Seraphim shook her head and abruptly sat down in the high grass, her wings fell quiet.

Jubilee sas looking at Seraphim. "So where is he?" Jubilee asked. Seraphim shrugged her shoulders but didn't look at her. Seraphim bit her lip. Should she tell the girl to run to hide? Would it make a difference? Probably not. Seraphim stared at the sky again and began to hope. Jubilee took a few steps away and the woman made no move to stop her. In face Seraphim looked more like a victim than Jubilee did.

"Why are you working for him?" Jubilee asked as she walked in the direction she hoped the cabin was.

"Well I don't have a choice. I have this collar and if I don't do exactly what he says then." She snapped her fingers. "I'm gone. He can rip me apart, turn my powers against me and make it so I can't form myself into anything coherent. Basically I just float away into nonexistence. It's worse than death." She told Jubilee.

"Wow. Harsh." Jubilee said as she kept walking. She failed to see Seraphim nod. Jubilee fell silent for a moment then decided to ask. "So what are your mutant powers?" Jubilee asked sociably.

"I'm--I'm not a mutant." Seraphim told her. Jubilee looked back at this time and eyed her wings.

"You telling me your human?" Jubilee joked.

Seraphim shook her head again and Jubilee saw her grasp for words. "I honestly don't know what I am. I
