Jubilee stopped and turned to Seraphim who was practically jumping up and down. "I take it we're here." Jubilee said as she looked around. As if here was actually a place, she thought. It didn't look like a place at all, just a big light bulb. Bright light was everywhere you looked distorting it so you couldn't make anything out. She sighed as she looked at Seraphim. "Why is this place so imprtant?" She asked.

Seraphim smiled at her. "It's home." She told Jubilee.

Jubilee who still had no idea who she was frowned. "My home?" She asked. Seraphim shook her head.

"No. It's mine." She paused. "I have to thank you though. Without your kindness I wouldn't be here. You showed me the way home and set me free." Seraphim said teary eyed. Jubilee had no idea what she was talking about but she smiled and nodded.

"Jubilee." Called a female voice. Jubilee turned at the sudden sound but not at the name. She saw a man and a woman standing there smiling down at her. The woman called her name again and Jubilee frowned. The word sounded familiar to her somehow. Jubilee smiled kindly at them and gave them a quick wave.

"Hey." Jubilee said shortly. The woman broke into tears and rushed to her wrapping her in a hug. Jubilee taken aback paused before returning it. Jubilee gazed at the woman and the man and something clicked.

"Mom, Dad?"

"I have come for our compensation. I can not take it, it must be given freely." The angel said in the same eeire voice.

Sabretooth smiled and took a step towards the angel. "I'm not giving anything up. I captured an angel, I dominated her. I trapped her to me." He told the angel in a calm matter of fact voice. "I keep death close to me and I still survive. I dominate it. I am death." Sabretooth told him getting dangerously close to the angel. The angel made an odd sound. Wolverine almost shuddered when he realized it was laughing.

"You are not death." The angel told him as if talking to a child. "You know it well and live it. Both of you have broght many to me. You both will see the truth. You both will learn. Ours is the right that must be honored." The angel told Sabretooth and Wolverine. The angel flapped its wings agian.

Sabretooth felt a cold wind drift over him. He took a step back next to Wolverine. The ground was less solid now as the blood kept coming. Now it was hard to even stand up and they both found their feet being pulled inot the bog. Wolverine pulled a foot out of the muck and couldn't find any ground that was solid. He was up to his knees now. The angel was still flapping his wings and Wolverine felt cold all over. He heard Sabretooth utter a few curses as he also was in the same predicament. Their feet and the bottom of their legs were firmly restrained. The more they fought against it the more it pulled them in.

"Your faults will lead you." The angel told them who was standing on the ground uneffected.

Hands emerged from teh mud and grabbed Wolverine. His eyes widened as more hangs sprung up from the muck and grabbed him and Sabretooth. They began to pull them under. They went dow fighting against the cold hands but it was hopeless. There were just too many of them. Before Wolverine was compleatly drawn in he heard the angel once more.

"Your dead will lead you." Wolverine opend his mouth to shout at the realization. Then they pulled him and Sabretooth under into oblivion.

Sabretooth opened his eyes and looked around him. He was in Canada, not the Canada he was just at but the old Canada. The Canada he remembered but knew wasn't real. The cabin that he had killed Silverfox and the place he remembered Logan as a boy. This was what he remembered and even if he wouldn't admit it, this is what he held dear. He looked around not letting himself enjoy any of it yet. It was a trap, it had to be. The big bad angel of death was trying to teach him a lesson. He laughed out loud. Didn't he know he was encapable of that? Many had tried to steer him on the right path, and what had it gotten them? Dead that's what or wishing they were. He looked around the wilderness for Wolverine. Where was that boy. His senses weren't telling him a thing, all he smelled was death.

He wondered if he was going mad, for real this time. This time he wouldn't come out of it when he was covered in blood and a pile of dead at his feet. He always came out of it though, in some way or another. The last time, the last time. That had been close. Creed had never been so close to dying or so close to loosing his grip on reality.

It had been a stupid job, he hadn't taken many since Birdy had died. She had always taken care of things like that. She would know which ones to accept or decline, she would take care of the payments, the details. Perhaps he should have stuck to killing people for fun but it was one of the few things he did well. And he did love to do it. Anyway he got paid to off someone, how much better could things get?

He had taken heavy fire. So much in fact that his healing factor wasn't cleaning it up fast enough. He had been lying on the ground all tore up inside and out concentrating on the pain. Creed knew he was going to die. He lie bleeding in the dark and he had resented it like hell. Then he saw her, Seraphim. She was leaning over him looking down. At first he thought she wasn't really there and that he was just loosing it. He began to watch her and focus on something other than the pain. She didn't fade away or disapear. Creed knew what she was. Something deep inside of him just *knew* she was an angel. She was going to take him into death and drag him into hell. He laughed at that startling her. Damn if he'd let that happen, he'd see the whole world in ruins before that.

He reached up and grabbed her. As weak as he was he held onto her like a vice and no matter how hard she fought she just couldn't get away. He had won and he would live a little longer. Seraphim had lost and that had hurt her in a way Creed couldn't even imagine. When he released her she didn't try to escape, in fact she looked lost. Then he had seen the collar and even Creed hadn't known where it had come from. It had just appeared. It gave him absolute power over her but it was more than that. On some level she had let herself be defeated and she couldn't fight him. She became his, his ultimate prize over death and heaven. In the end Creed knew he had nothing to fear because in the end he always left standing.

"No matter who else is left down." Came a voice from behind him. Creed turned around and saw Bridy standing there. "Hello mister Creed. Been a while hasn't it?" Birdy told him coldly as the blond straightened her pristine wings. The trees all around began to twist and mutate into wild thorned things. Behind Bridy Creed saw a few people he recognised, his parents and his son Grayden. Behind them stood a mass of people. Birdy smiled sweetly at him. "I beleave we have to go over a few things mister Creed. Compensation is due." She told him walking up to him.

Logan pulled his foot out of the cold snow and pressed forward. The cold snow sunk around his knees again as he trudged on. The wind wipped around him as the blizzard ensued. Logan's eyes were shut tight againstit as he moved forward. He had to keep moving, he repeated to himself. Behind him he heard the pack of wolves that had been following him. They were hungry and they wanted his blood. Keep moving, he told himself.

"Logan-san. Logan-san. Logan-san." Marioko's voice echoed down the valley to him.

Logan nodded and kept moving pulling his feet out of the snow drifts. "I'm comin' darlin'. I'm comin'." He muttered to himself. Marioko's vocie echoed again this time chorused Silerfox. Logan stumbled but regained him balance. He's breathing hard and his whole body is numb. The further he goes the deeper the snow is and he's loosing his footing. Logan fights against it as he moves forward. He hears many voices ahead now all chorusing together urging him to them. He smells the cherry blossoms in Marioko's courtyard and hears Illyana's laught. Logan keeps fighting to move forward.

The wolves are right behind him and he whirls around. They're on him even before he's facing them. He fights blindly as several are on him biting into him. The wolves take him to the ground and Logan's world skips a beat. His eyes are shut and his body is numb and wet. Logan doesn't hear the wolves any longer, all he hears is the howling wind. He notices he's not being attacked any longer but still he doesn't move, all he wants to do is lie there.

He opens his eyes against the cutting wind and sees people standing over him. They are all gathered around him staring at him. They all have a look in their eyes. Logan tried to place it, fear, hatred, pity? He knows them well. He had spent many nights talking to them and had tried to remember each of their faces. Although sometimes even he didn't remember each face the people he had killed.

"You want my blood?" He asked them. All they did was stare. Logan nodded to them exposing his throat. "Take it, it's yours. I deserve it." He told them. Still they didn't move. "I told you to kill me. If that's what you want then go ahead and do it!" He yelled beginning to get angry. None of them moved. Logan looked to each one. "I'm sorry." He said and the wind caught it. He repeated it. It echoed in the valley over and over getting louder each time. Logan winced as it almost shattered his eardrums. He looked up agian and saw the people were gone. "Great, just leave me here." He muttered.

Marioko was calling out to him and he had no choice but to get up. Once again he faught his way towards her. His legs moved automatically as he focused on her voice. There was a light up ahead shimmering off the snow. It was so bright it hurt his eyes. The wind howled around him and he walked into it. For the first time he saw Marioko waiting for him smiling at him. He forgets everything else and moves towards her. I'd dead, he thought, but didn't care. All he saw was Marioko and nothing else mattered. He reached out for her then stopped dead in his tracks. He was looking past her to another figure.

"Jubilee." He whispered. Up ahead Jubilee stood serene and smiling as someone held onto her. She's dead. My Jubilee is dead. He walked over to her but found couldn't. It was like trying to swin upstream. "Jubilee!" He shouted. She didn't turn to him. He shouted her name again and again. She didn't even hear him. Marioko was holding onto him confused. "Jubilee!!" Logan yelled and tried to go towards her again forgetting about Marioko. With the same determination he felt in getting here he felt into getting to her. He wasn't going to let her die, he just had to reach her. His heart startled inside his chest and Logan fell to the ground. It burns like wildfire in him and its too much to take. He feels himself being pulled away again, away from Jubilee. He tries to fight it but he's once again pulled out of reality.

Logan's eyes flutted open and he stared at the sky. He sat up quickly and his body screamed in protest. He ignored it as he got up. He was back in the field and the grass was restored. He looked around and didn't see the angel of death. Beside him lay Creed and he could clearly see he wasn't breathing. "Jubilee." He called as he walked over to her scent. He walked across the field and saw her lying in the grass. He knelt down and examined her. She wasn't breathing but he didn't see any serious wounds. He began to give her CPR. He pumped on her chest a couple of times counting them out. Then he blew into her mouth. He switched off the tow counting off. "Come on. Come on." He hissed.

Jubilee looked over to Seraphim. "It's not your time to go. However, the choice is up to you." Seraphim told her.

Jubilee looked back to her parent. They were all she knew. How could she leave them? "I want to stay." She told her as he Mom hugged her again.

How long had it been? How long had she been lying here? Logan didn't know. All he knew that she wasn't breathing and the more time passed the worse it was. He pounded on her chest. "Jubilee breath!! Come on darlin' breath!! You are not going to die!! I won't let you!!" Logan yelled pounding on her chest giving up on the CPR. He grabbed her shoulders and shook her. "JUBILEE BREATH!!!!" He roared.

Jubilee heard her name and looked up. Her parents looked at her. "What's that dear?" Her mother asked her. Jubilee shook her head.

"JUBILEE!!" The tortured sound ripped across to her. Jubilee flinched inwardly at the sound. Her name was being called again and Jubilee found herslef looking to Seraphim.

"It's your choice." Seraphim told her. Jubilee listened to the man calling to her as if he were dying. Something inside her she couldn't even identify was breaking. She rose a shaky hand to her face and she noticed she was crying. She turned to her parents in tears.

"Mom, Dad. I love both of you so much." She voice broke. "But your dead and I'm not..well not really." She paused and heard her name again. "I have to go back. Someone needs me more than you do." She hugged both of them hard. "I'll see you when I'm ready. Good-bye." She turned to Seraphim and let out a shaky breath. "I want to go back." She told Seraphim firmly.

"I knew you would." Seraphim told her as she grasped Jubilee's small hand. "Come on lets go gome."

The first thing Jubilee felt was that she was rocking back and forth. Someone had a tight hold of her and something rough was against her cheek. Jubilee made a small moan and a gasp at the same time. The rocking stopped abruptly and the grip on her loosened. Jubilee's eyes fluttered opened and she saw Logan staring down at her. She blinked in surprise. She had never seen him look so concerned in his whole life. Jubilee raised a hand to his face and ran it down his cheek. It came away wet, he had been crying. Jubilee smiled beside herself.

"You are so not going to beleave what happened." She told him weakly. Logan grinned and hugged her.

"Are you O.K.?" He asked. Jubilee pasued for a moment then nodded.

"Did anyone ever tell you that you make enough noise to wake the dead?" She joked.

Logan helped her up and she lent on him as they started walking towards the cabin. He looked behid him towards Creed and saw he wasn't there. He surppressed a growl, Creed was alive and gone. Then Logan thought about waht had happened to him on the other side and he could only guess at what Creed had delt with. He looked down to Jubilee. He knew he wouldn't have to worry about him coming after any longer.

"Can we go home now?" She asked him laying her head on his shoulder.

"I don't see why not." He told her.
