Summery: 5 1/2 years ago Jubilee dies, now as an angel, she needs the help of the Xmen

PS: This is my first fic that I've submitted. If its really crappy, just tell me ; )

Scott Summers looked around, disoriented. Seconds ago they had been on the battle field when there was a large explosion...and now...they were surrounded by white...no walls, no windows, just white. With him were his teammates that were with him - Jean, Logan, Bobby, and Hank, all of which who were looking around bewildered as well. Then the realization hit him. They were dead.

As if hearing him, a frighteningly familiar voice responded "Not yet..well..kinda..but not really," and everyone froze. The voice belonged to the youngest team member, Jubilation Lee, who had died tragically on a mission fine and a half years ago. Suddenly the girl appeared, donned in a simple white gown. "Do you guys have any idea the problems you've caused!? Didn't think so."

The Men could only stair at their....former?...companion in befuddlement. Logan broke the tension with a growl.

"Ya ain't her," he said, advancing towards her. Jubilee wrapidly back peddled.

"Hold on a sec there big guy....let me explain. Just calm down..it's bad karma."

Logan stopped and the others just continued to stare and she began speaking. "First let me get into something more comfortable.." Jubilee said, looking around as if to check if she was being watched and then stretched, her body suddenly clad in her old jean shorts, tank top, yellow trench and sunglasses perched on top of her head and she grinned. "We aren't supposed to do that but what the hell...Now first of all, I AM dead..but that doesn't have to be permanent if we don't screw up my big shot. I was assigned angel patrol...which kinda sucks but now there's some big bad mojo workin'' down below and the big guy needs your help. They sent me to ask and to go with you because ..well....I guess he DOESN'T have infinite patience and I'm getting a little annoying..Can you believe that? ME? ANNOYING?!"

Jean interrupted quietly "I think I speak for all of us when I say that this is a little hard to..comprehend...."

Jubilee sighed impatiently, "Its NOT that difficult. I died. Big evil down below needs stopped and only mortals can do it. I get to help and if we win, I can come back. Is it a deal?"

"How do we know that this isn't some trap?" Logan growled, unable to accept that she'd be able to come back so easily.

Jubilee grinned, "Ever hear of faith?"

They didn't look convinced and Jubilee sighed, "Look, it's gunna happen either way...I mean paradise is great but it gets old. This is my only real chance of being able to come back."

Everyone exchanged a look and Bobby spoke up. "Don't get me wrong Jubes, it's great to see you...But your telling us that "the big guy" needs OUR help?"

"Like I said Bob-Bo, only mortals can do it. You might be great, but you ain't Gods."

"And what if we don't agree?" Scott said, sensing this wasn't all to the story.

"Right now you guys are in limbo....you ain't dead...but you ain't alive...if you wont help us....then they won't let you go back, you have to move on to heaven or hell.......hey, not my idea! ...There're desperate. The evil's getting strong....so strong that it's threatening to take over all of paradise. I was just sent here with the choice....Help them and have the chance to live or move on to heaven and take your chances with the evil taking over and condemning all us angels and souls to hell...."

"It doesn't seem we have much of a choice," Scott said and the others nodded in agreement. An instant later they all awoke on the battle field, their enemies gone and Jubilee, now mortal, with them, looking around. Slowly she stands and looks at her hands, then the others. "Common..we don't have much time."

Part 2

Jubilee was in her old room at the mansion which had been left unchanged. It was cleaner then when she left it and she grinned as the image of Jean attacking the mess with a can of aerosol and was suddenly glad for the most powerful woman in the world's sentimental streak. She had imagined a hundred million times what it would be like to be back....and this wasn't it. The professor seemed to be more interested in how all this really came to be. Even now she could feel him and Jean monitoring her surface thoughts. Grinning evilly, she sent out a 'loud' mental image of St. Peter running through the celestial fountains naked and felt them withdraw. Rogue and Storm just kept looking at her with happy tears in their eyes and thankfully, Remy just ruffled her short hair, said a quick "good ta have ya back 'petite" and left her alone.

The worse part was Wolvie. He just stared at her, not trusting his eyes and nose that it was really her. She couldn't blame him after all they've been through with clones and aliens and everything from the boogyman to Little Richard with an afro, but it still hurt.

Rolling onto her back she sat up and stood. "Enough feeling sorry for yourself," she said out loud, "Time to get to work!" Standing she peeked out the door to make sure she wouldn't get ambushed by any more well wishers or disbelievers she dashed down the hall and up stairs to the study where she knew the Professor, Jean and Scott were discussing her. Without bothering to knock she strode right on in.

Quickly they stopped talking and looked at her and Jubilee looked right back. The Professor broke the silence, "Jubilation," he started and quickly amended himself when he got a death glare from the spunky young woman. "Jubilee, as I said before, we're all quite glad to have you back....but we think its expedient to first have Dr. McCoy take a look at you and make sure.."

"...Make sure I'm not some scum sucking drone? Or maybe a super clone? OH! Maybe I'm a pod person from the planet Uranus and I've come suck out all your brains and eat 'um like a fresh fruit smoothies! Or maybe..."

"That's enough." Jean interrupted with a small smirk. Ever since she was a little girl she believed in Angels and had no doubt that this indeed WAS their Jubilee. "Jubilee...what about your powers? Can you still use them?" she asked, wanting to get the subject back on track.

"Nope! Technically, I'm not mortal yet. But I still have some...er....otherworldly qualities.." Jubilee said, looking at the 3 'adults'.

"What do you mean 'otherworldly qualities'?" Scott asked, frowning.

Jubilee's eyes narrowed and she slowly looked over them. "Are you sure your ready to see this?" she asked. When she got no answer she shrugged. A moment later there was a bright flash and when the light dimmed Jubilee had her wings once more.

"...That's it?" Scott asked incredulously.

"No Mr. Nosy that's not it! That's just all you can see. Being an Angel isn't that much to look at but it has perks." She held up her hands before they could speak. "For instance...empathy....precognition....teleportation....and if I'm lucky I can see the future." Jubilee slowly looked at the others who all looked duly impressed. "Now to the main event...the evil. I'd appreciate it if we could get everyone in the mansion in on this...I don't like repeating myself."
