Vampires in the Closet: Part 3

Hey All You Happy Readers.  It's me again and I hope that this cliff hanging third chapter really grabs you!  It should delight many, and I apologize for the late arrival of this chapter.  It took me a while to read it.  And reread it and proof read it.  So enjoy.

Jubilee had gone with Buffy to her house.  It was a quiant little house, and Jubilee liked it.  Buffy had a younger sister named Dawn.  Her and Dawn bonded quickly.  Jubilee tried to easedrop on the whole conversation between Buffy and her Watcher, Rupert Giles, who was an elder man about forty with a heavy British accent.  Dawn was a lot of help.  She showed Jubilee the best place to hear the whole story told between Buffy and Rupert Giles.  Dawn told Jubilee to call Rupert Giles, just plain Giles.  No one called him Rupert.  Then in walked a tall and strong guy around Buffy's age.  He had semi-short bushy dark brown hair, and had on a hard hat.

"Who is he?"  Jubilee asked.

"Oh that's Xander.  He's like so-- well, we won't go there!"  Dawn said definitely showing her feelings for this guy.

"But he is taken?"  Jubilee enquired.

"Kinda.  He dated Anya for a while, was about to marry her then, POOF!  End of relationship.  He broke it off.  Now he still has feelings for her.  But she keeps giving him the cold shoulder."

"Anya?  Who is she?"

"Oh Anya.  She's--"

"That would be me!"  said a brunette with crossed arms.  She seemed to have a domineering attitude.  She reminded Jubilee of Emma Frost.  "Vengeance demon Anyanka!  Fear me!  I seek vengeance for wronged women on the men who wronged them.  Not to mention, I make a mean coconut pie!"  She then handed her a piece of pie.  "Care for some?"

Dawn was waving her hands behind Anya, mouthing the words 'No!'.  Jubilee politely declined, and turned and walked into a very muscular chest.  She instantly thought of the man in her bedroom.

"Angel?"  she asked, but when she looked up at the man, it was not Angel.  It was a blonde guy with a very good stature.

"No, pet, I'm not Angel.  Name's Spike."  He held out his hand.  She took it and it was freezing cold.  Just like Angel's hand.

"Are you a vampire... too?"

"Wow!  You're good!  Don't take for you long to notice.  Little Bit, take this one upstairs.  Your sister and I need to talk."

Jubilee looked around to find out who "Little Bit" was.  Dawn walked toward Jubilee, and Dawn walked Jubilee upstairs.  Both girls did NOT like to be told to run off like children.  As soon as they walked into Dawn's room, Jubilee fell in love with it.

"Nice room!  I mean you got Garbage, Linkin Park, and OZZY!"  Jubilee exclaimed.

"Just his REALLY early stuff.  It was Buffy's.  All though she don't know I got it."  Dawn quickly closed the door to her room, and flopped down on her bed.  "So you get told to run away by everyone, too?"

"Don'tcha know it!  I mean come on, if that's all you get, you have it easy!"

"Not when you're not supposed to be alive."

"What's that mean?"

"Just a few years ago.  This Hell-God Glory, tried to use my blood to open a gate to Hell.  Fun to live in Sunnydale!  Hell Mouth Center!"

"Hell Mouth?"

"Yeah, it's like a portal going directly to hell.  Everything bad that happens in that great place, it usually happens here.  That's why we got so many vampires, and demons."

"But you have a demon, and two vampires on your side."

"Yeah, you tend to get a few good ones outta the whole bunch.  Anya, Spike, and Angel are only a few.  Heck, they are the few, the proud, and very old!  Listen, Anya is like over twelve hundred years old!"

"Wow!  She's well preserved!"

"Demon possession does that to you."

"Kinda like Logan."

"Who?"

"Logan also known as Wolverine.  He's like my best friend.  He's supposed to be like a hundred years old.  He is like really old, I put it this way.  But he looks like he's thirty.  Buff, strong, and has an adamantium laced skeleton.  He has a healing factor and animal keen senses that can lead him any... uh oh!"

"What is that 'uh oh' for?"

"He could follow my scent anywhere!  Like from Westchester to HERE!  He's probably on his way!  That's worth an uh oh!  And when he finds who took me, they might as well say adios!"

"We gotta tell Buffy!"

"No kiddin'!"

The two girls charged downstairs and ran into the kitchen.  Everyone looked at the two of them like they just saw a ghost.  They proceded to tell Buffy and her friends about Wolverine and his gifts.  Buffy just had a face of resolve.

"How dangerous is he?"  Buffy asked.

"OH dangerous!"  Jubilee said waving her hands in the air.  "He has these claws that pop out of his knuckles and could stabbed you right through the chest!"

Spike's eyes bulged and he covered his heart.

"Listen, Little Bit, keep your friend with the pointy knuckles away from me."  Spike dropped his hands and looks directly at Jubilee.  This time he referred to Jubilee as 'Little Bit'.  Just then the front door burst open, and in walked Angel.  Jubilee's heart fluttered and her eyes widened.

"Hi, Angel!" she exclaims rushing over to him.  She throws her arms around him, and she hugs him. "Thank you for sending them to get me.  I feel so much safer knowing your here!"

"Okay is it just me or does this child need some serious help?"  Anya throws her hands up in the air and clops Xander under the chin.  She begins to apologize but then she remembers the tension between her and Xander.  She smiles and thinks nothing of it.

"Buffy," Angel gently moves Jubilee and walks over to Buffy and hugs her, "we need to hurry.  This horrible new thing is rising, and it's after Jubilee.  Then after it finishes Jubilee it will just keep destorying everything in it's path."

"Oh like we've never heard that before!"  Anya starts to put her shoes on, and she hobbles around the kitchen.  "I've heard worse.  'I'm so evil there isn't even a word for it.'  'I was the evil that spawned evil!'  'I'm bad bad bad!'  Does it scare you?"  She looks at Jubilee, who's mouth has almost hit the floor, but her tone finally registered with Jubilee.  She was too sarcastic to even sound frightening.

"Yeah An, let's scare the living crap oughta the girl.  So that she runs out the door and the big bad, which is waiting to get her, will just pick her off while being alone!"  Xander's tone has was on the brink of complete shouting.  Buffy, knowing that Anya was about to retaliate to Xander's remark, jumps between them both.

"Don't worry, I will protect you from whatever comes our way," Buffy tried to console Jubilee.

"Yeah it's like our policy.  You'll be as safe as a house!"  Willow tried to say in her normal cheery attitude.

"In the meantime, let's calm down and order some pizza," Dawn said with her normal chipper attitude.

But as Dawn picked up the phone, her expression changed.  She looked at the phone and then at Buffy.  Buffy walked over to it, and listened.

"No dial tone..."  Buffy said gravely.

Then, Jubilee heard the floor creak above them.  Then the front porch floor squeaked.  SMASH!  The windows seemed to be exploding and breaking from the outside.  Everyone dove to the floor, and Angel soon grabbed Jubilee and rushed her into the basement.  She turned to thank him, and saw that his face had changed.  It was now twisted into a grotesque demonic looking person.  His forehead was wavy and wrinked as if he held a permanantly impressed angry disposition.  His teeth were sharp and long.  Even his eyes changed to a shade of yellow.

"Stay here!"  He commanded with a more angered tone.  She was so taken back by his voice and the severity of it; she backed against the wall.  Within seconds she heard crashing and the breaking of furniture.  She heard Buffy "Hi-ya-ing", and the sounded of fists hitting something solid.  Then she heard something she had not heard in a while.

"Jubilation!  WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT LEAVING LIKE THAT?!" said a familiar voice.  Jubilee turned and faced Wolverine.

"Wolvie!"  she rushed and hugged him, "I'm so glad to see you!  It's been so weird here.  And now I think they're being attacked.  I'm just so glad you're here.  We've gotta go help them."  Jubilee turned her face up to look at Logan's.  But this time she was hugging a stranger.  A man in a black robe with no eyes, only symbols.  The thing threw a ball down and it teleported both Jubilee and himself to an odd location.

Meanwhile, the fight was blazing upstairs.  Buffy, Spike, and Angel were fighting with all there might.  Xander and Giles were gathering weapons and shooting them in all directions at the men with no eyes.  Willow and Anya had backed themselves into a conserved corner.  Willow had a bag of powder and a candle in each hand.  Anya had a sword to fend off any unwanted visitors.

"Gooramay, Neenamy, Gongdella!"  Willow was indeed chanting a spell to send off the unwanted guests.  "Serpsay, Pretaktomoonay, Shebalbent, Deydee, GO!"  Soon the candle's flame roared and the hooded figures went out the holes in which they came.  Willow fell to the floor exhausted, and Anya went rushing to Buffy.

"Okay this is not good.  This is a bad sign.  Those guys, they work for the First.  An ancient evil who feeds on light energy.  Also..." Anya cringed as she said the last statement, "they feed on Slayers."

Buffy crossed her arms, and then looked at Angel.

"Where is she?"

"Down stairs.  She should be safe."  Angel turned to look at Buffy and his normal features returned to him.  He then turned on his heal and bolted downstairs.  He searched it over and over again, but still found no Jubilee.
